A very happy customer

Accommodation was almost Brand new and in good working conditions. All looked very well maintained

This property was listed on booking.com amd nowhere in the listing did it say that we needed to bring our own towels, soap and provide toilet paper. I have NEVER experienced it woth a listingon booking.com. So imagine our surprise when after traveling for 20 hours to get to this property, we had to use kitchen towels to take a shower with dishwashing liquid... and obviously toilet paper is a must. We should have been informed of this before travel! People dont normally travel internationally across continents with towels and soap. Then the range didnt work so we couldnt cook. The staff couldnt fix it and were going to send somebody the next day but they didnt. To add insult to injury, you wrote us to ask for a security deposit AFTER we checked out (and left everything clean) because your staff forgot to do it when we checked in... I lfet the property as I found it and will not be sending you more money You should be giving ME a refund for a range that didnt work (the whol epoint of renting this is os we could cook when we wanted to) and for all the inconveniences... and when I complained about the above issues, I was told that I should have been more proactive in following up re broken range and should stay in a hotel next time. Very rude response! And this is a huge assumption that everyone around the world knows the rules in a park in a small town in Belgium... not the case. I have traveled to 70+ countries booking properties on booking.com and have never run into a property that doesnt provide basics like towels and soap and toilet paper and then is so rude about it on top of it all. Not to ention, who has time looking for towels to buy in th emiddle of nowhere Belgium? Very bad ambassadors for your country. Would leave one with the impression of a lack of hospitality, cheapness and rudeness.

Thanks for your review! It seems that you were expecting to have booked a hotel, and were expecting hotel-like services. We are a European style holiday park renting holiday cottages. Although we do provide some necessities, such as made-up beds and towels on request, we do not provide unlimited toilet paper, shower gels, etc. This is simply the way rental holiday cottages work in Europe. We are sorry to have ruined your impression of Belgium! However, we are sure that if you will visit again, you will be more open to cultural and organizational differences and will learn to appreciate our true Limburg hospitality that so many of our other guests adore. This is not a negative review, am very happy we were there!

The park is too close to the highway, we could hear traffic all through the night. This we werent aware of. However, we were warned of the flights from Kleine Brogel and they decided to fly F16s between 22:00 and 24:00 in the night. There were other small problems like being unable to switch off the porch lights which lit up the whole apartment through the night. But otherwise, great stay, great deal overall and great value for money

Prima omgeving, bijzondere parkindeling

Park is als een soort woonwijk/stadswijk ingedeeld. Daar moet je van houden. We hebben toch liever een vrijstaand huisje, waarbij (met mooi weer) jij en de overburen elkaar niet de hele tijd zitten aan te staren. Verder allemaal prima (personeel, huisje, omgeving, etc.)

We begrijpen dat de indeling van het park niet helemaal jullie voorkeur had. Landal Park Eksel heeft inderdaad een unieke opzet die wat doet denken aan een dorpje, met gezellige straatjes en doorkijkjes. Gelukkig zijn er ook rustigere plekjes op het park, dus wie weet kunnen we bij een volgend verblijf een huisje uitzoeken dat wat vrijer ligt. Graag tot een volgende keer!

Een mooi en rustig park. Fijne omgeving voor de hond. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. het huisje was fijn en compleet; vooral de airco was welkom met de hete dagen.

Lekker simpel park en het service point/restaurant personeel super aardig. Voor mijn dochter die glutenvrij eet, was goed geregeld. Onze hond had het ook naar zijn zin, zijn neus draaide overuren. voordeur van het huisje met een code werkt prima geen gedoe met sleutels. Winkeltje prima assortiment. Dorp is 10 minuten lopen.

Een weekend park Eksel

Park Eksel is kleinschalig park, in een mooie omgeving. Huisjes zijn mooi en compleet.
